Elopement Photos in Kettle Moraine and Brady’s Rocks, Wisconsin

Dan and I live basically just outside of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. It’s our playground. We go there on the weeknights to unwind after a long day of work. We kayak down the rivers, and hike down the forest trails with our dogs.

Brady’s Rocks was always a place we wanted to photograph a couple at. The rocks here are always covered with such a thick forest green moss, and there is lush greenery in the spring and summertime. It’s only a short hike to get there from the trailhead, but it feels like you’re a world away.

I’ve known Brittany my whole life – she was my best friend growing up. I remember when she first met Scott, and I was insanely jealous because she had the boyfriend who was a SENIOR in high school. He also had the cool car. (Don’t worry, I got over it!)

It was such an awesome honor to be able to photograph these two. We left the car a few hours before sundown, and hiked through the woods we call home. We packed along a cheesecake (which ended up completely melting). We also forgot to bring spoons, so we ate it with the spatula we brought along to cut the cheesecake up. Needless to say, it was a mess – and we couldn’t have cared less because it still tasted FIRE.
